Probably some of the most perplexing questions have to do with the transmutation of the physical body from carbon to crystalline base. I’d like to repost a four-part series from 2013 looking at this process.
Perhaps we can take a moment out to look at what our sources say about our transformation from bodies with a carbon base to those with a crystalline base.
Introduction
As we look into the subject, the first thing to keep in mind is that we’re on a return journey and part of it is the return of our crystalline form. Archangel Michael tells us that “when you began your adventure into the physical realms of materiality, you slowly built a garment of flesh around your shining, crystalline Light Body.” (1)
Now the very physical body that we built is becoming transformed into crystal, as SaLuSa tells us here; “You [will] eventually rise up with a physical body that has become crystalline.” (2)
A series of events saw us devolve from crystalline bodies to carbon-based. Dark forces from our distant history played a hand in it, as Matthew Ward tells us.
“Eons back in your time, darkly-inclined souls altered human DNA to reduce the amount of light in bodies. That allowed them to install patterning for physical weakness, illness, aging, death, and severely decreased capacity for intelligence and spiritual clarity.” (3
Archangel Michael tells us that our ego desire body also played a role.
“The master teachers of the past … said that your physical bodies were originally created from etheric substance. You first came to Earth in your radiant Crystalline form, and gradually over many ages you developed your beautiful physical body from the Adam/Eve Kadmon Divine Blueprint for this Sub-universe.
“The distortions began as you sank into the density, and the ego desire body gradually took control of the mental and emotional bodies; this resulted in a good portion of your Soul Self withdrawing from your Sacred Heart Center into your Soul Star above the Crown Chakra.” (4)
We’re now reversing these effects, Matthew tells us: “Those limitations are being reversed by the ever-increasing intensity of light in bodies that are absorbing it.” (5)
We Need Crystalline Bodies to Survive in the Higher Dimensions
As Matthew suggests, our Third-Dimensional, carbon-based bodies cannot survive in the higher dimensions.
“Souls that absorb the light, which is constantly available to all, are changing at cellular level from carbon-based third density bodies to crystalline-based bodies that can survive in the higher frequencies.” (6)
SaLuSa explains that the matter they’re composed of cannot hold together in the more refined vibrations.
“The physical matter of your dimension is tenuous and cannot hold together in the higher realms. That is why the changes from carbon-based cells to crystalline, are necessary to enable your Ascension.” (7)
In the past, people left their physical bodies to ascend to higher dimensions. They did so after arduous spiritual training and in very small numbers. But now we look forward to a mass ascension while retaining our physical bodies, SaLuSa explains, a first in the universe:
“At the end of every cycle there is an emergence of those who are ready to move on to the higher realms. However, as many of you are now aware this one is unique, as you take your physical body with you.
“Not as your existing carbon based body, but one that has become crystalline and can function in the 5th. Dimension. One that has become lighter, and has moved into a near perfect expression of itself.” (8)
It is the absorption of light that is causing the transformation, Matthew tells us:
“The light that is absorbed by receptive souls is changing their cells into a crystalline structure for physical survival in the higher vibrational levels as well as increasing spiritual clarity and thus soul evolution.” (9)
Ascension is not determined by tests or trials at this time, but simply by choice and by the absorption of light, he reveals.
“There is no seat of judgment or arbitrary selection of which humans can ascend and which cannot – it is strictly a matter of science and souls’ own choices. Light changes third density’s carbon-based cellular structure to the crystalline form that lets bodies survive in the higher frequencies, or vibrations, of fourth density and beyond.”
PART - 2

Life in the Mental Planes in Our Crystalline Forms
Before we look at the other advantages of having a light body, apart from being enabled to live in higher dimensions, we should note in passing that we have examples of terrestrials retrieving their crystalline forms.
Each person who passes from the Astral Planes to the Mental Planes in the afterlife, which we would call the Fourth and Fifth Dimensions, does so by uncovering their inner light body.
Keep in mind that they have already dropped their physical body whereas we are transforming ours from a carbon base to a crystalline base.
Let’s listen to two transitions, which we call Ascension – that of Frances Banks and “Dr. G.” (1)
Her work finished in 4D, Frances Banks considers leaving the rest home she has been attached to in 4D and entering 5D.
“I am like a creature hibernating and yet, at the same time, sloughing off a skin which I no longer will be needing. I feel, sometimes, like a snake gradually shedding its skin. These coils of lower density are slipping away from me. I am emerging from regrets of earth memories, from disillusions, from idealizations which become illusions, ephemeral and of no true worth.
“I am viewing each piece of skin which peels off from me in its right connection with the true Self which it served to obscure. And more and more I become thankful for the Reality which, God be praised, was there beneath the skin, all the time.” (2)
She continues to observe the dissolution of her astral body. Most people lie down and go to sleep, so to speak, during this process, but not psychologist Frances. She observes the whole process.
“I realize that what is passing from me, like sloughing a skin, is insubstantial, impermanent, decomposing, as it drops from me into a dusty nothingness. What is left is essentially Light, is Reality, is permanent and is true. I call this my new Body of Light and that, indeed, is what it truly is.
“A Body of Light, not dense and material and dull and heavy as the physical body, not insubstantial, shadowy and unreal as the astral body in which I have been sheltering, but brilliant, ‘encelled’ with Light, ethereal in that there is no weight, no dragging down into matter but is enmeshed with colour and beauty and form and substance.
“Is that a difficult conception? You must remember that I am forming this, my spiritual Body, or should I be more correct in saying I am merging into it. That sounds a paradox but then much to which I am becoming adjusted here is paradoxical when viewed in the light of the restricted thinking of the human mind. I still have a mind, I still have a body, but both are inevitably changing and because of that I feel as ifI am emerging, like a grub from a chrysalis, to a butterfly. Gradually I can function more readily and for deeper periods in my Body of Light, and, in it, can commune with more advanced Souls and imbibe their wisdom.” (3)
And next Dr. G., who is sensing that his time for transitioning is drawing near, tells T.E. Lawrence (the post-mortem Lawrence of Arabia):
“‘The timelessness of our life,’ he said, ‘misleads us into thinking that there is no longer any period to our happiness. We have no lengthening shadow of old age to put a natural limit to our activities and so, when we are happy and easy, we think it can continue indefinitely.
“‘But I know there are natural period in our time here and that I am approaching one of them. I could perhaps disregard the intimations and stay on here [in the Astral Plane], but, if I did so, I should be perverting the pattern. So you see, even this paradise may be enjoyed for too long lest it thwart one’s proper growth. …
“‘I am growing old in this [astral] body and shall soon be done with it. Then I shall go on to explore this wonderful universe on another level [i.e., the Mental Plane].’” (4)
As Dr. G. spoke, “the illumination of his wise spirit made a glory around him and was more convincing than many words.” (5)
Lawrence comments: “I had heard about this second death and transition to the next sphere…. Now it seems that I may be privileged to watch it happening to another.” (6) In fact Lawrence does watch it.
Lawrence describes here the Ascension of Dr. G. from the Astral Plane to the Mental Plane:
“The end came suddenly. I called on him and was told that he was sleeping. We stood around and watched his still form and the light which waxed and waned there. In a breathtaking second the change came.
The light gathered itself together and burnt itself to a keen thought of light so intense and inward that we gasped and turned aside. Then it had gone and only a wraith of our friend remained which shrank away and disappeared as we watched.
“We sat speechless, absorbed in the beauty and meaning of the transition. It was long before anyone broke the silence and then one said: ‘I have heard that some time is needed for a spirit to get used to the new conditions, just as we needed time to adjust when we first came here, so we must not expect our friend to come to us yet.
“I suggested that when an interval has elapsed we should meet here again and wait and hope for his coming.’ We agreed to do this and went off full of thought to our various occupations.” (7)
Later Dr. G. descended to pay Lawrence and his friends a visit. Lawrence describes it:
“Dr. G. has kept his promise to come to us but he appeared when we were least expecting him. Some few of us were sitting quietly talking when his voice suddenly took up the parable and as we looked up, startled, we saw the outlinbes of a form which speedily filled in and took substance and there he was among us again.
“He brought with him an exalted air and we felt his presence as a spiritual baptism, a stream of pure joy absorbed hungrily by our thirsty beings. Light and happiness glowed up in us too with the pleasure of heightened being. He stayed only a short while … and left us again.” (8)
So this does give us some sense of what life in our crystalline forms will be like for us.
Advantages of Crystalline Body
Obviously the greatest advantage to having a crystalline body is the ability to live in the higher dimensions.
Archangel Michael summarizes the situation for ascending ones. The advantage of “the crystalline format, rather than the carbon format,” he says, “is simply because it contains and has the capacity to contain, emit, transmit, and receive greater information, transmission and connectedness.”
“It puts you in a greater position of receptivity and transmission, of sending, of transmitting throughout the multiverse the clarity of who you are. It is the diamond structure that is really known throughout the universe and the multiverse, and it is the return in many ways to the original form that the Mother had designed.
“But with this shift in form to crystalline … what you are able to do is to receive greater clarity. That is the primary gift. But you are also able to hold more energy.
“You are also able to truly be your multidimensional self, your transdimensional self. It is a vibratory situation where you are able to communicate telepathically and physically, more clearly with your star brothers and sisters and those far beyond, and certainly with us, as well.” (9)
It allows for the amplification of the chakra system.
“One of the primary essentials of shifting into a crystalline format is that you are able to have your chakra system amplified to full measure. And so in that, the restoration of your chakras, of your energy system — because that is what your chakra systems are — is at full operational strength while still being in a human form.
“So that is the only reason why the shift is taking place to this, can we say, a different… yes, many of you think of it as an upgrade. And of course in practical terms it is, because it allows you to operate more fully as yourself. But it is not that the old was not useful and should not be appreciated and honored, because it performed its function in your journey.” (10)
SaLuSa tells us that our cryrtsalline bodies “will assure you of having a healthy life, that is free from the illnesses and disease associated with the low vibrations of the 3rd. Dimension.” (11)
“One day in the future your vibrations will have reached such a high level, that the lower energies will have absolutely no effect upon you. Already your body cells are changing and when they become crystalline you will untouchable. That time will come when you ascend, and nothing such as disease will be able to make any difference to you. Come on board our ships and you will find no evidence of doctors or hospitals as such. We have healing chambers, but at our level they are for balancing our energies.” (12)
It will allow us to halt the ageing process altogether.
“Something that would not be noticed yet is, because of the higher vibrations, the aging process is slowing down. Eventually it will stop, and once you have crystalline cells the whole process can be reversed through the power of thought. The new cells will have a greater degree of consciousness than previously, and re-act to thought more quickly.” (13)
Matthew Ward also describes the impact of the transformation on our health.
“While … elderly folks are of heart-wrenching concern for their families at this moment, within a few years this will not be an issue. … The absorption of light not only brings spiritual clarity, it also changes body cells into a crystalline structure that will not degenerate as do third dimensional body cells.
“Diseases now affecting the brain, along with all other diseases rampant in third dimensional Earth, will not exist once the planet is free from the lower frequencies.” (14)
They will allow us to change our shape at will.
“Already in your Astral levels that souls pass on to after death, they have sufficient power to present themselves to you as they wish to be seen. This is clearly useful when newly arriving souls meet with others who passed over many, many years before them. In this respect when you ascend you are not really going to experience something that is completely new to you.”
The Transformation from Carbon Base to Crystalline Body – Part 3
Physical Issues Due in Part to Change to Crystalline
The ongoing change from a carbon-based to a crystalline-based physical body has brought challenges with it.
Saul, for instance, acknowledges that “some are experiencing unusual physical issues at this time that are actually massive clearings of old energy, preparing the physical to become crystalline and lighter.” (1)
Hilarion also recognized the challenges we face during this physical transformation.
“Each of you is being further upgraded in your own metamorphosis of becoming more crystalline in your bodies on all levels. This is a challenging time for all upon the Earth plane and order must prevail.” (2)
Matthew Ward discussed what some of these issues are.
“Due to increasingly high vibrations, many are experiencing conditions such as weakness, disorientation, forgetfulness, fatigue, sudden mood swings and other uncustomary sensations.
“In healthy bodies that have absorbed light, the anomalies are few and brief as these bodies’ crystalline cells adjust more easily to energy fluctuations than can the carbon-based cells of bodies with less light.” (3)
He cautioned us against using these conditions to judge our progress and warns that they will continue until we’re well into Fourth Dimensionality.
“Please do not use any of those symptoms as a barometer for assessing how much light is within you! Chronic maladies and forms of mental illness still affect bodies in Earth’s atmosphere, and souls who are radiant with light may continue to experience those discomforts until they’re well within fourth density’s strong healing vibrations.” (4)
Archangel Michael last year catalogued all the challenges we were facing – a return of the cosmic flu, aches and pains, etc., which the advent of a crystalline structure was contributing to.
“There is a return of the cosmic flu, a feeling that you have that you don’t have the flu but that you are coming down with something. So there is an achey feeling. Many of your joints are hurting.
“There is a feeling of lethargy or tiredness and again part of this is the attunement to your body, that you are holding so much more energy than you are used to, even though we have been increasing the waves of energy substantially for the last several of your years but never has it been this strong or this profuse.
“So if you are having aches and pains in your joints, in your legs, in your shoulders, in your necks … know that it is simply energetic attunements. You are also shifting, you know, from your carbon-based bodies to a more crystalline body. And that as well is taking place. And there are parts of your DNA that are being activated. So there is a physical component to this.” (5)
SaLuSa counsels us to rest more during this time of metamorphosis. Soon all this will change, he says.
“Your present low vibrations and those around you are in fact very heavy, and you need sleep to restore your body. However, as your body cells continue to change to crystalline, your body will become more in line with its new pattern.
“As a result it will start to need shorter sleep periods to recover, and some of you are noticing it already. In fact sleep patterns will move out of a regular pattern, and you will find yourself able to exist on much less.” (6)
Our eating habits will change as we become more crystalline. Goldenlight’s sources tell us that we’ll soon drop red meat from our diets and eat more fruits and vegetables. Eventually we won’t need to eat very much at all.
“Eventually, as your earth society continues to evolve, you will eat only small amounts of fruits and vegetables, and eventually your light bodies will become so prevalent that you will find that you do not have a need for this type of food at all.
“You eventually will not have the carbon-based bodies you have now; they will evolve into crystalline bodies and further along the path, light bodies, with less and less need for physical food to sustain you. Your energy will come directly from Source light and love.
“You have the ability to tune into this energy now as well, it is just that many of you are not aware of it.” (7)
SaLuSa says much the same thing.
“A similar change is also occurring where your eating habits are concerned. You are needing less, and your choice of food will turn to those that are fresh and unadulterated with chemicals and additives. …
“As you lift up your vibrations, you are less inclined to be drawn to the heavy foods such as red meat. Follow your bodies’ reactions to what you feed it, and you will soon learn how to treat it sensibly and to your advantage.” (8)
He gives us a picture of what life will be like once the transition in our bodies has taken place.
“To move from your present physical body to one that is of the higher vibrations will be a wonderful feeling. To be free of all of the aches and pains often associated with your present one, will be so uplifting. The level that you will move into has such high vibrations, that your body will be unable to carry forward anything less than the perfection of your original blueprint.
“Your awareness will be heightened and your perception of things sharpened. The body will no longer tire or suffer fatigue such as you do now, and consequently you will no longer need lengthy sleep periods. You can take recuperative measures if you need them, but you will also re-energize from the very environment you are in.” (9)
The New Children are Coming in Already Crystalline
Matthew Ward tells us that “the children whom you call Indigo or Crystal came in with or have acquired crystalline DNA.” (10) He explained what many of the indigos particularly had to go through
“Souls are being born in bodies with the enhanced DNA of crystalline cellular structure and are rightfully referred to as Crystal Children. Others with increased intellectual capacity, spiritual clarity and aspirations came in the two generations before the Crystals and are known as Indigos.
“Sadly, in many cases these youngsters were considered abnormal, treated harshly and drugged into submission – once again, through the manipulation of dark ones who convinced unsuspecting counselors and parents that these exceptional children must conform to the “norm.”
“As knowledge about Crystal and Indigo individuals is spreading, some of the older ones are becoming aware of their greater potential and making life changes accordingly; parents are recognizing their young children as gifted and wisely treating them as such; the use of drugs to keep children with extraordinarily active minds in a stupor is lessening; and, indicating awareness of the beneficial influence of fine music, the numbers of youth choirs and orchestras are growing.” (11)
How far along are we in our transformation? Archangel Michael tells us that “those of you who are listening [to An Hour with an Angel] are about, hmm, 86 to 90 percent there.” (12) Hilarion repost that “your inner crystalline core shines brightly within you.”
The Transformation from Carbon Base to Crystalline Body – Part 4
What Happens to Those who Refuse the Light?
What happens to those who choose not to ascend? Matthew Ward discusses their future course.
“Persons who choose to live in the light can ascend with Earth and those who choose to cling to their dark ways cannot.” (1)
“Those who refuse the light will not have survival capability, and when Earth reaches the higher levels, their bodies will die and their souls automatically will go to stations where their lifetime free will choices have energetically registered them.” (2)
On another occasion he discussed the subject of their fate.
“Earth’s passage to her ultimate destination is assured. It is the destination of her human residents that is at issue: Will they absorb the light that changes carbon-based cells to the crystalline that enable physical survival in fourth density vibrations?
“Absorbing light requires ones at the negative end of duality to change from violence to peacefulness, from greed to generosity, corruption to honor, unjustness to fairness, anger to reason, oppression to freedom. The bodies of those who refuse to stop the negative behavior that boosted them into powerful positions will die, and the souls will go to worlds where the energy is the same as those persons generated during their physical lifetime.” (3)
They will spend some time in the spirit planes and then reincarnate in another Third-Dimensional world.
“After a time in spirit, souls in the latter group will incarnate in a world that corresponds to their Earth lifetime energy registration and have more opportunities to ‘see the light.’” (4)
Can We Ascend if Our Bodies are Still Carbon-Based?
A related question is whether we can ascend if our bodies remain carbon-based. Archangel Michael addressed the matter recently.
“Now, there have been many, many different forms of discussion about this shift to crystalline. But truly, this is part of the collective process into Ascension. Now, what you are going to say to me, ‘Lord, does that mean that if you are still mostly carbon-based that you cannot ascend?’
“Understand this, my beloved friends: transformation can take place in a moment. So all of you will be crystalline, one way or the other. But it has been mostly an evolutionary process. But that does not mean in the final moments that there will not be some last-minute renovation.” (5)
Final Word
We’ve reached the end of our discussion. SaLuSa says that the Company of Heaven awaits the time when they can meet us openly and help us accelerate our evolution.
“The process of Ascension will be speeded up once we can meet you openly. We will educate you in soul expansion, and the upliftment of your body until the cells become crystalline. Finally you shall move into full consciousness, and we will also have a hand in that so that you reach completion.” (6)
Suzanne Lie reminds us that unity consciousness and the process of Ascension begins in the Fifth Dimension, but does not end there. She describes the higher dimensions.
“Our Universe is composed of Light, sound and color, as well as different levels of density. Everything within the Universe has resonance or is composed of vibrational frequency patterns. Unity consciousness begins in the Fifth Dimension, where the illusions of the Third and Fourth Dimensions begin to fade away.
“The Fifth Dimension is the true beginning of the ascension process. You begin to prepare for ascension within the vibrational patterns of the higher Third Dimension as you strive to return to balance and harmony within the physical, mental, emotional and etheric bodies.
“The higher frequencies/dimensions, those of the higher Fifth, the Sixth Dimension and above, gradually become more ethereal, gossamer or Crystalline. There is form; however, as you move into the higher Sixth Dimension and above, form gradually becomes finer, often translucent and sometimes fluid.” (7)
Archangel Michael invites us to go into meditation and look at our crystalline bodies.
“What we would suggest to thee is that you begin to see yourself. Go into meditation and look at yourself as if you were looking at the new you, and it is crystalline, as if it is a crystal structure.
“And within that, see your brilliant chakras completely inter-linked and intertwined, and then look at your DNA. And as you are looking, bring to it the points of light everyday, that you wish to bring forward.
“You see, we keep saying to you, we are in sacred partnership. Are we activating you? That is the purpose of the love. That is the purpose of the light. Yes, we are activating you, but we are also doing it with you. … You have no idea how close we are.” (8)
He reminds us that we’re all progressing back to where we came from.
“All you are really doing — it is actually quite simple in the final tally — is reclaiming your being, your wholeness, the truth of who you are.
“Many of you have asked, ‘What dimension do I come from?’ Do you not notice, my friends, whether you ask this of me or in meditation or in any other format, that very rarely would we ever say you are from the third dimension.
“We may say you are from the seventh or the fifth or the ninth. What do you think we are saying? We are saying the wholeness of you, crystalline body, regenerated self, has come from elsewhere. So in so many ways, you are returning, or beginning your progression back to who you are.” (9)
And the Divine Mother herself reassures us that w have already reached the tipping point and are ready to come home. Not to the astral planes but to our higher-dimensional homes beyond duality.
“It is not growing so that you will reach a tipping point. You are already there. You are all ready to come home. No, not to what to what you think of as the outer realms or Nirvana.
“You are ready to come home to your Fifth Dimension, to your Nova Earth, to your nova self in your magnificent form of crystalline, diamonds under pressure. That is what we have worked so diligently with you for so long. Oh, long before you were born.” (10)
So we are nearing the end of the transformation of our physical bodies to crystal from carbon. And with it will come all the gifts of higher-dimensional experience and eventually Ascension itself.
We are returning home, starseeds and humans, under the watchful eye and guidance of our star families and celestial guardians, through the crystalline gates and into a world of unity, love and harmony.
